MedMate — Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 3, 2026

The short version: MedMate does not collect your data. Your medications, history, health readings, pill photos and profile are stored only on your device. There are no accounts, no servers, no ads, and no tracking.
Data Not Collected

Who we are

MedMate (“the app”) is developed by Sternzy (“we,” “us”). This policy explains how the app handles your information. It applies to the MedMate iOS application.

What we store

Looking things up

Notifications

MedMate uses your device’s local notifications to remind you to take your medications, to reorder when a supply runs low, and — if you turn it on — to back up your data. All of these are scheduled on your device; no notification server is involved.

Backups and sharing

If you use “Back Up Now,” MedMate creates a backup file and you choose where to put it (for example Files, iCloud Drive, or AirDrop). When you share or print your list, MedMate makes a PDF that you can optionally protect with a password. In both cases the file is created on your device and stays under your control — we never receive it, and any password protection is applied on your device (the password is not sent anywhere). Apple’s handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Permissions the app uses

Children’s privacy

MedMate is not directed at children and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and post the revised version here.
